I just received the Skyline Review and I love it! The cover art is gorgeous and the stories are well-written. The poetry is some of the finest I've ever read. Thank you for devoting yourself to producing such a high-caliber publication. It should be on everyone's "must read" list!

As a writer, I face a lot of ups and downs, and many times I find myself questioning my path. Today was one of those days until I opened my mailbox. I received my Winter 2008 copy of Skyline Review. This book is amazing. My story is along side so many wonderful stories and dynamic poems. My faith in this whole writing business was restored in a matter of minutes.

What a beautiful piece of art.

Dear Victoria,

I just received my Skyline Review and wanted to congratulate you for yet another literary jewel.  I have just begun reading the poetry and stories and am very pleased with the quality and talent.  Professionally done all around (great cover by the way).  I will put a copy in my waiting room for my patients to review.  Keep up the great work!

Hats off to Victoria Valentine for pulling together some of the finest writers, artists, and poets of their craft. Front to back Skyline Reviews cover is impeccable and elegant, and the various genre of fiction shorts are titillating indeed. The only way I can describe how I felt while reading the poetry would be to say, it was like tasting a fine wine while enjoying an exquisite french entree. Skyline Review Anthology makes an excellent addition to any book lover's collection.

I received my copies of Skyline Review yesterday.  What a gorgeous book!  The art on the front and rear covers is particularly striking.  The illustration at the end of my own short story is wonderfully appropriate--thank you for that.

I've started reading and found the first two stories most enjoyable.  When I get some more time, I will continue.

All the best,

Hello Victoria,

I been reading much more of the lastest Skyline Review and want to share some comments with you.

"Numbers for the Week" by Joan Mazza is an excellent poem.  I can see why you nominated it for a Pushcart Prize.  It brings to mind a short story by Tim O'Brien called "The Things They Carried," a piece where he enumerates in great detail what soldiers carried in Viet Nam.

Another dramatic piece was "The Wall" by Doug Maloney.  It almost brought tears to my eyes.

All the best,
